Jennifer Baichwal – Manufactured Landscapes

“Manufactured Landscapes” es un aclamado documental de Jennifer Baichwal sobre la vida y obra del conocido artista Edward Burtynsky. Burtynsky hace fotografías de gran escala de “paisajes fabricados”, como canteras, fabricas, minas o diques. Fotografía materiales y escombros, pero de un modo descrito como “precioso” o “espectacular”, lanzando todo tipo de cuestiones sobre ética o estética sin intentar resolverlos.
El documental sigue a Burtynsky hasta China, viajando y fotografiando las evidencias y efectos de la masiva revolución industrial del país.
