This residential complex in Paris is composed of 220 social housing units, organized in four buildings of six floors each. All of the housing units face an interior garden with birches that provide a visual filter that generates privacy without blocking the light. The garden is consequently transformed into an oasis of calm.
As well as the garden, Piano placed emphasis in the light and transparency of the buildings. The double GRC skin with terracotta elements creates subtle reflections and a sense of weightlessness.
