Architect David Adjaye is a humanist, with a specific interest in how people relate to things, the level of enjoyment that get from it and how they feel about being in a specific place. Chatting to Adjaye at the AZA conference in Cape Town he says that architecture needs to “rethink what architecture does best and how it serves people”. Adjaye talks about some of his recent work, and highlights that contemporary architecture, when it’s good, helps us make meaning of where we are.
