The Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart, Germany, is unique location for displaying over 120 years of automotive history. Designed by the Dutch UNStudio, it newly defines the automotive museum. The building combines its elegant appearance with unique structure of a double helix. The special feature inside the museum is the route visitors take through it. They start their tour of the exhibition not at the entrance in ground level, but at the uppermost level, to which they are conducted by lifts. From this point they can choose between two different routes that descend through the museum, either through five thematically arranged Collection rooms or on a chronological Legend tour through more than 120 years of automotive history.
