The Oscar Niemeyer International Cultural Center, known as the Niemeyer Center, is the result of a combination of a cultural complex projected by Oscar Niemeyer and an international cultural project that integrates distinct artistic and cultural aspects such as exhibitions, music, theater, dance, cinema and food. It is located in Asturias, Spain.

“A plaza open to the whole world, a place for education, culture and peace.”

The center, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, is drawn upon the landscape of the Avilés estuary, within the urban landscape of the Villa de Adelentado. It is visible, due to its size and whiteness, from all around and also from above.
